Easter in Salisbury

It’s almost the Easter weekend and we hope the sun will remain shining here in Salisbury.  There’s some exciting events lined up for the Easter break in the area, and if you would like to find out what you could get up to, then continue reading.

Theatre Fest West

Salisbury Playhouse runs an annual festival, which has now been running for five years.  It celebrates theatre made in the South West and teams up with venues such as Salisbury Arts Centre, Trowbridge Arts, The Pound, Coresham and Wilshire Music Centre for this year’s festival.  These venues will house over 30 events this year, which have been running from 18 March and continue right through until 2 April.  The events include a mixture of contemporary theatre, dance, family events and shows and new writing for all to enjoy.  So if this sounds like something you would be interested in, follow this link for more information and view the Theatre Fest West brochure to book your tickets http://goo.gl/x0wOq3.

Easter Egg Trail- Mompesson House

If you’ve got a family weekend planned then why not get the kids (or yourselves) involved in an Easter egg hunt?  Mompesson House in the Cathedral Close will be holding an Easter Egg trail where puzzles have to be solved in order to find the chocolate treats.  Or perhaps you would just like to visit and explore the house itself and relax in its garden or tea room.  Mompesson house opens from 11am from 25 March to 28 March.

Old Sarum Easter Adventure

If you don’t mind a short journey from Salisbury city centre then head over to Old Sarum for another Easter Adventure.  There will be hourly activities so lots to do and for all the family.  For more information visit the English Heritage website http://goo.gl/UfDFj9

We hope you all have a wonderful Easter weekend whatever it is you get up to. We are very much looking forward to a break here at the Festival.  It’s been busy with lots of ticket sales now the full brochure has been announced.  We are very grateful to everyone who is supporting the Festival! If you haven’t yet had a chance, you can view our online brochure at https://goo.gl/HbllmE and book tickets via https://goo.gl/3C0Kcg .
